Greetings All,

All my shows are free and open to the public! I believe to partake art - either making or viewing, is to join in the age old dialogue that shapes culture, and this is an activity that is open to all, so you are invited.

“Abigail Tulis floats towards us, like an otherworldly swan, slowly drifting into our field of vision. She trained as a sculptor and lived in New York for several years. The swan wanted to put down roots somewhere local and build a nest, so she flew to a castle near Bruges, where she has now been living for two years. She gathers inspiration from ancient techniques and masters, archives, and literature. This makes her work enchanting, timeless, and completely unique.”
- Pascaline Van den Hooff

Coming up this summer: The Lady of Shalott - The Mudel Museum, Deinze
The Biënnale van de Schilderkunst opens in the Mudel June 28 and I am so so thrilled to share that my my Lady of Shalott Series will be released in full (all 13 large paintings)!
I have been working on this story for over 5 years… wow it has been a journey, a psychomagic study in making art of my most intimate life, and having life follow art. The lady lived, and despite all I could do, the lady died. She hid herself from the world, but in sharing her, I will no longer hide myself.
To complete the cycle of her life, I will be creating an instillation of these monumental works along with excerpts of the ladies journal, documenting her creative process, interpreted by unrequited love, hysteria, and ultimately, her demise. When a character in a fairy tale (that most ancient form of wisdom) dies, it symbolizes that the lessons that character represented have been integrated. Being able to share this series marks the final integration of the insight her story has taught me. I hope you will be present.
A solo show, acting as Prologue + Epilogue to the Lady of Shalott, will open with Galerie P in July. This summer I will be showing more work at one time than any previous moment of my life, so it is a perfect excuse to come enjoy the Flemish Countryside in Summer. Excited to see you there!
